🌊 The Voters Spoke. Not Everyone’s Listening.

🔥 Lock In, Boss Up, Whole-Ass It

Called it 👀

Back in early October, I looked at the October 9 New Moon and said the opposition party (Democrats) would be highlighted in the election and we’d see a big political swing. Dun dun dunnnnnn. Tuesday night, the blue wave showed up and showed out, bringing the prediction to life in a historic way.

In October 2024, I also posted about Saturn/Neptune as the combination for breaking down barriers. This week Georgia elected Keisha Lance Bottoms, the first Black woman elected governor in U.S. history. Five Black governors will now serve at the same time, which is a record. Gina Hinojosa is Texas’s first Latina governor. Deb Haaland is the first Native American woman elected governor, Peggy Flanagan is the first Native American woman elected to the Senate, and Abdul El-Sayed will be the first Muslim senator. The list goes on.

The astrology works, people!

And still, a new month lies ahead.

📝 Making a list, checking it twice

The next New Moon will occur on November 9 at 2:02 AM Eastern. Its chart has got Virgo rising, so we, the people, are making our lists and checking them twice. It’s a good moon for putting the holiday gift list together. 😉 (A Homegirl Astrology gift certificate fits any size, btw.)

Virgo rising also brings out a devotional quality. People are willing to go where they’re called, and there’s a real sense of duty in the air. Everybody’s buying planners, figuring out how to manage what’s left of the year, and dreaming about what we’ll accomplish in 2027 now that a sense of possibility has returned.

Financially, the U.S. chart for this New Moon isn’t the worst I’ve seen. Venus represents the nation’s money here. She’s in her home sign of Libra, but retrograde, so she seems strong but the money isn’t as long as we think it is. That Black card has limits and your buying power isn’t what it once was. And still, it’s an extravagant time. Y’all are out here like eff it, I’m getting them the car in the driveway with the big bow this year anyway. Okay, money bags! 💸

🌊 Off the burning road

The day before the new Moon, we will have escaped the via combusta, y’all! Clap for yourself. 👏🏾

This New Moon also ties in Poseidon, and I’m low-key obsessed with Poseidon. It’s one of the planets we use in Uranian astrology, and it deals with light, truth, the higher mind, spirit, and ideals. That’s the kind of moment we’re in. Many of us are feeling hopeful, finding our people, and inspired.

It’s nice to feel blissful and connected to something bigger for a minute though. Who cares that Neptune is wrapped up in it too… (Hold that thought.)

🐢 Big change, slow motion

The New Moon chart highlights massive changes happening, but they’re moving in slow motion. When something shifts at a deep level, it takes time to show up on the surface.

The less generous take is that some people refuse to accept that anything has changed at all. You can have all the evidence in the world, and someone will still decide it isn’t what it looks like. That can mean delays, stalling, and being made to wait while you hold it together.

On the flip side, some people know exactly what’s happening and get stubborn on purpose. They skip the rules (forget the spirit of the law, they’re not even following the letter!) so they can get around the system and demand special treatment. The voters have spoken. Not everyone plans to listen.

⚠️ The heavier side of the Moon

This New Moon also describes a month where the physical environment takes a beating. That can look like military or police violence, industrial or environmental damage, contamination, or serious crimes happening in plain sight. It’s dirty work, quite literally. The gentler version is work that’s been happening behind the scenes suddenly surfacing in a big way. I will probably sound paranoid, but there’s some powerful occult work happening behind the scenes too.

At the top, the chart shows leadership getting checkmated on the world stage by sudden, disorienting collapses, which sets off an overhaul that can’t be undone. Globally, it’s a war of words, and people are talking pure cash sh*t. There’s also the potential for military conflict and a sudden shock to national stability. We’re thinking about how to get to work, maybe literally and figuratively.

Now back to that Neptune. The chart also shows a country stuck in economic hardship, with supply chain problems, shortages, and old wounds the leadership can’t or won’t heal. Meanwhile, the people in charge lean on spin to cover it up. Remember how Poseidon was all about truth? With Neptune involved, the line between truth and a good story gets blurry. The election just happened, but plenty of people are already spinning all types of yarns to explain away the bloodbath or to warn people about the future.

A lot of people at the top are narcissists. And the most dangerous time in an abusive, narcissistic relationship is when the person being abused tries to leave. As they say, a dying mule kicks the hardest.

Neptune with Admetos show up here as things "changing from one state to another." Are they thawing or hardening? With Neptune, it’s hard to know. What we do know is that things are changing.

✅ What to do with all this

✔️ Make the list. Virgo rising rewards whoever writes it down and follows through.
✔️ Spend with intention. Venus retrograde can make “treat yo’self” go further than your budget does.
✔️ Be patient with slow change, and don’t mistake slow for stuck.
✔️ Check the narrative. If a story conveniently explains away what you saw with your own eyes, ask who it serves.
✔️ Take physical safety seriously this month, from the ladder you’re climbing to the road you’re driving.

A lil' commercial break...

Whether you’re all in on AI or still figuring out how you feel about it, it helps to know what’s happening. Superhuman makes that easy. Whenever I read it, I learn something I didn’t know before, and it’s quick enough to get through with your morning coffee.

🔮 Big Deck Energy

Welcome to Big Deck Energy—where I pull a card each week on behalf of our collective to offer insight, reflection, or a much-needed reality check. Think of it as a weekly reset, a moment to pause and take in what’s unfolding. This week, I asked: Where am I being called to show up with more devotion right now?

The card: The Two of Wands.

First of all, the message I’m hearing is that you need to know you are powerful beyond measure.

The Two of Wands is the first outpouring of creative energy. It’s pure will, or in Aleister Crowley’s words, will “unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result.” Translation: lock tf in. For now, stop worrying about the outcome, and stop keeping score of how much effort you’re putting in.

This is about some kind of creative endeavor. When people hear the word “creative,” they often assume it requires some skill at making papier-mâché or picking up some oil pastels and going to town. Creative just means you’re making something. A business, a plan, a body of work, and a new way of living all count.

This card is about strength that’s firmly rooted in the world and can’t be easily overthrown. It’s about security even more than success, the deep internal confidence that comes from knowing you are a boss. So the devotion being asked of you is devotion to your own authority and your own belief in yourself.

That means taking full ownership of your life, your craft, or your situation. Stop asking for permission or waiting for other people to validate your position. In your own domain, you’re the decision-maker.

It also means putting your energy into starting the thing and willing your vision into being, instead of getting paralyzed trying to analyze where it’ll end up. No half-assing. We’re whole-assing this! Commit fully to the direction you’re setting, put your energy into that first spark, and trust the momentum you build.

Say it with me, out loud and in front of a mirror. Fuck it. We ball. 🏀

I've been inundated with YouTube videos about personal curricula, so they might be a useful tool for you. And, I can't stop thinking about this neuroplasticity video.

While fully committing to the thing, build your internal stability. Get so *disgustingly* anchored in what you know you’re capable of that other people’s opinions and outside ups and downs can’t knock you off center.

A teensy housekeeping note

You’ll start seeing the occasional sponsor in Tomorrow's Truth, Today. I’m picky about who I let in though, and I’ve already turned down offers, because I refuse to expose y'all to just any old thing. If you want to support my work directly, you can book a reading, book me for an event, share my work, or drop something in the virtual tip jar. 🫶🏾

Your chart, this month

This New Moon is about duty, slow change, and sorting out what’s real from what’s being sold to you. A reading shows where those themes land in your own chart, so you know which responsibilities are yours to carry and where the changes are going to hit closest to home.
