🐣 Walking on Eggshells Isn’t a Love Language

When Keeping the Peace Costs Too Much

On June 1, Venus meets Chiron in Aries—and it’s not subtle.

This is heartbreak that pulses from the survival brain.
It’s not weepy. It’s urgent.
It’s the reflex to over-function in relationships because something in you still believes:
“If I don’t fix it, I’ll lose everything.”

This transit stirs the wound of rejection and abandonment, especially in the places where you’ve learned to stay small to keep the peace.
You might notice yourself:

  • 😬 Saying yes when you mean no
  • 🥚 Walking on eggshells around someone else's emotions
  • 🍫 Craving sugar or sweetness as a form of self-soothing
  • 😵‍💫 Playing caretaker even when you're the one running on empty

And just to spice things up, this conjunction is inconjunct Uranus—the planet of disruption, rebellion, and freedom.
So even as you reach out for connection, you may feel the itch to escape.
One part of you wants closeness.
The other part wants the door.

The tension is real:

  • Stay or go
  • Speak up or keep it cute
  • Keep the peace or start a fire just to feel something shift

It’s not clean. It’s not easy. And it probably won’t be resolved in a single conversation.

But here’s the truth:
You can’t stabilize a relationship by destabilizing yourself.
You can’t avoid abandonment by abandoning yourself first.
You can’t earn love by performing calmness.

Sometimes the most radical form of love is not reacting. Not chasing. Not folding. And sometimes Uranus frees us from the things we're too chicken to walk away from.🐔

Let the wound speak—but don’t let it write the script. As we transition into Big Deck Energy for the week... I'll leave you with this quote from bell hooks:

As we love, fear necessarily leaves. Contrary to the notion that one must work to attain perfection, this outcome does not have to be struggled for -- it just happens. It is the gift perfect love offers. To receive the gift, we must first understand that "there is no fear in love."

🔮 Big Deck Energy: Tarot Card Pull for the Week

Welcome to Big Deck Energy—where I pull a tarot card each week on behalf of our collective to offer insight, reflection, or a much-needed reality check. Think of it as a weekly reset, a moment to pause and take in what’s unfolding. This week, I asked: What part of me thinks I must suffer to be loved?

Here's what the Tarot had to say: Strength.

The part of you that still tightens when love enters the room.
That holds its breath just a little.
That braces for disappointment, even in connection.

Strength says that part lives in the body—in the subconscious.
Not in your logic, but in your instincts.
In what you reach for when you feel lonely.
In the way you quiet your needs so someone else doesn’t pull away.

This card isn’t about overpowering the lion. It’s about meeting it with presence.
Choosing to stay with yourself—even when the old urge is to chase, to prove, to perform.

It reminds you: You don’t have to go hungry to be chosen.
You don’t have to earn love by leaking life force.
You can train your body to expect tenderness. To digest safety. To hold power gently.

You are not too much. You are not too needy.
You’re just used to calling pain love.
And this week, you get to start unlearning that.

One choice at a time.
One breath at a time.
One kind meal, one honest no, one quiet act of self-loyalty at a time.

We've got this.

⚔️ p.s. Hard ≠ Bad.

If this week feels messy, you're not broken—you’re in process.
Hard aspects are pressure points. But they’re also portals.
My new Masterclass teaches you how to navigate those hard aspects—especially the ones that hit your love life, your money, and your sense of self.
