For years now, folks in my corner who want to see my work expand have been telling me to make an audio podcast, to take the work I'm already doing and put it somewhere people can find it with their ears. So I did. :)

It's the same astrology I put on YouTube, except you don't have to look at a screen to be in the loop. You can listen while you're driving, cooking, walking the dog, or hiding from your family for ten minutes of "you time." And if you love the videos but you've told me you don't like the music (it's staying, sorry), the podcast is the clean audio version of me talking you through it.

In honor of the new Homegirl Astrology podcast, this week, I asked: what do we, as a collective, need to hear right now?

Here's what the tarot had to say: the 10 of Pentacles.

Okay, it's a little cliché, and this certainly isn't the message I wanted to hear, but here it is: money isn't everything, and you don't have to wait for some future number to feel joy and fulfillment.

Don't get me wrong, money matters. Full stop. It's how you pay for what you need, get what you want, and put put a lil somethin' somethin' toward what you're trying to grow. There are multiple houses dedicated to money in astrology. Whole industries exist around it.

But in this card, you've already got the security. Whether you know it or not, your foundation is solid. You're fine. That said, this is the warning it heeds: don't get so comfy sitting on what you've built that you forget to keep living. Security can go stale if it's all you're chasing. It starts to feel like a ball and chain. Think of it this way: "maximum security" is a prison term, the highest level of control used to house the most dangerous or high-risk people. So consider whether you're securing something for yourself, or whether you've built the walls so high you've locked yourself in. Safety and a cell can look a lot alike from the inside.

So here's what you might need to hear: you've reached the end of one chapter, which means you're standing at the start of the next one. I'm all for rest, but don't rest on your laurels. Use what you've built as the launchpad, and catapult yourself into whatever's next.
